A stunning, contemporary family home set in the beautiful village of Stoke Gabriel, the perfect base for exploring South Devon and its many sandy beaches and countryside walks.

Tucked on the edge of a creek belonging to the River Dart, Stoke Gabriel is a true gem in South Devon and the perfect destination for families – especially the waggy-tailed members. Stroll down to the quay and let Fido sniff the salty air whilst the children try their hand at crabbing, bringing everyone together to enjoy ice cream and a view of the boats. Your contemporary abode sleeps five humans and one hound, providing all the home comforts and bonus treats needed for a relaxing stay.

Stylish and impressive with wipe-clean floors and plush furniture, this impressive home invites you to let sleeping dogs lie and crack open the wine, ready to unwind. Climb the steps and flop down in the lounge to watch TV by the gas fire, or gather in the open-plan kitchen/diner that acts as the heart of the home with its ample socialising space and range of equipment including a Lavazza coffee machine. Upstairs, the three bedrooms are a treat for the weary pawed, especially the bunk bedroom that’s brimming with toys and books for the youngest visitors. Outside, the enclosed patio has marvellous views and options for al fresco dining using the BBQ.

Riverbank strolls, hearty pub lunches and day trips to the coast are all possible from this idyllic vantage point, and the surrounding coastline has a generous scattering of dog-friendly beaches such as Elbury Cove, a pebble beach accessed on foot via the coast path from Broadsands (5.5 miles). For the adventure seekers, the River Dart is popular for all sorts of water-based pursuits including boating, kayaking and paddleboarding, but fishing is also popular here too. Hugging the coastline, the English Riviera offers 22 miles of glorious resorts and seaside towns primed for exploring complete with amusements, eateries and independent shops.

The house is very well equipped, spotlessly clean, comfortable and ideally located at the centre of this picture postcard village. The mattresses are some of the best that we have had the pleasure of sleeping on and the overall the house is very comfortable. I can wholeheartedly recommend this holiday let.

The property, being very new, was in very good condition & well appointed. The village shop & pub/eating facilities were within easy walking distance, good value. Travelling around, the roads are typical narrow Devon lanes. Overall, a really good spot for visiting around the Dart river, & the coast.

Modern, clean, well appointed, comfortable and tasteful property in a cul de sac still under development but little building activity noise in the week we were there. Nice south facing patio area. A lovely village off the beaten track which we have never visited before but easy access to Totnes, Brixham , Kingswear and Dartmouth via Ferry . DartmooRead morer also accessible within 30 minutes. Fell in love with the River Shack cafe on the waters edge which is a short walk away. Hide

Beautiful house. Lovely location. Easy drive to Brixham, Torquay and Painton. Lovely walks from the house. Close to a great crabbing spot with a great place to eat. Great equipment in the house including board games, crabbing nets and reading books. Luxurious bedding and towels. A great find. Would definitely recommend and go again
