Escape to the Peak District in this beautiful apartment the heart of the national park where you are spoilt for choice from shops and eateries to miles of beautiful public footpaths and cycle routes.

This apartment on the edge of the Peak District National Park offers a stylish base for small families and couples to enjoy a break with their favourite four-legged pal. Located in the picturesque village of Matlock Bath, you’ll have a great selection of dog walks on your doorstep, from riverside strolls to clifftop rambles. The village boasts a fantastic range of dog-friendly cafes and cosy pubs. Chatsworth House (8.5 miles) makes a fantastic doggy day out, as does the Crich Tramway Village (5.5 miles).

Follow a flight of external steps to the front door of this ground-floor apartment. Once inside, leave muddy boots and dog-walking gear in the hallway and head into the contemporary open-plan lounge/diner. This sociable space is great for entertaining, there’s also ample room for your dog to set up camp. After a delicious meal together around the dining table, unwind on the comfy sofa to watch the smart TV or read a book. One king-size and one with bunk beds offer delightful spaces to rest between holiday adventures.

It’s easy to while away several hours exploring the grounds of Chatsworth House. Although hairy hounds aren’t permitted inside the house, there’s still plenty to get tails wagging. Take a long walk through the 105-acre parkland, admiring the magnificent waterworks and sculptures, before grabbing some refreshments in the paw-friendly cafe. Step back in time with a trip to Crich Tramway Village, where you and the hound can ride on a vintage tram and get your photo taken in front of the cute shops on the period high street.

Had a lovely stay with teenager and dog, will stay again. Well kept accommodation. Perfectly equipped. Fabulous location so much to explore from the doorstep. Dog walks galore! Bakewell, Buxton 30 mins away. Parking not too far from accommodation - couple of minutes walk, does get busy in summer, especially weekends - but we always managed to get aRead more space. Can buy a 3 or 7 day parking pass online. No grocery store in Matlock bath, but Sainsbury's 10 min drive away in Matlock. Plenty of eateries. Hide

The location suited our itinerary but parking was a bit of a bother as there are limited parking spaces opposite to the property. The property is clean and well presented with good kitchen facilitates. Bunk beds can do with an upgrade but bedrooms have sufficient space.

The cottage has a greate location and is incredibly well stocked. Tim who manages the property was amazing and gave us lots of detail before our trip as well as some resturant recommendations. We went on a girls trip and we were worried the bunk beds would be too small for adults, but they were very generous. I would highly recommend
