Spacious stone-built cottage in a tranquil conservation area close to Northumberland's stunning coastline, local villages, and great amenities. Families, couples, and friends will love it here.

Sniff out the best trails in rural Northumberland, treating your two waggy-tailed pups to exciting walks throughout the coast and countryside. This homely abode is set in the idyllic hamlet of Newton on the Moor with excellent transport links to Alnwick, 6 miles away. Of an evening, there is nothing nicer than snuggling up to watch films with your party of six by the wood burner. On balmy evenings, the BBQ is a delight for sizzling up something special whilst Fido has fun in the garden.

Comfortable and homely with lots of thoughtful details, your accommodation is carefully styled with cosy interiors and interesting splashes of personality. Rover will appreciate snoozes in front of the fire, but the kitchen is likely to be his favourite spot whilst you cook up treats, moving through to the dining room to feast together. There’s a handy utility room and lots of bookshelves for you to peruse as well as a quirky leftover detail from the past in the form of an old safe. At bedtime, choose from a ground-floor bedroom or two king-size bedrooms on the first floor. Outside, the enclosed garden boasts a BBQ and a summerhouse.

Walkers, wildlife enthusiasts and historians will adore exploring the surrounding landscape and searching for rabbits on your travels. Warkworth, 7 miles away, is watched over by imposing castle ruins, yet Bamburgh is also within easy reach, 22 miles away. The sleepy fishing village of Craster, 12.5 miles away, is best known for its local delicacy – kippers! It’s a scent that Rover will relish as you nose around the marina and beach. At sunset, the coast is the place to be to watch the sky ablaze with colour.

We had an amazing stay. the property was spotless, with everything a family of four with teenagers would need. All the bedrooms were great sizes too. It was in a quiet village which suited us, however the A1 was about a two minute drive away which gave access to lots of towns and the coast. Would happily recommend this property to anyone.

Lovely character cottage and very comfortable. An ideal location for exploring the area. The A1 is conveniently close but we were not aware of traffic noise.

The cottage was beautifully decorated and maintained to a high standard with lovely soft furnishings and finishing touches throughout. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and the storage - fridge, freezer and even a wine fridge were much appreciated. It was nice to have a private garden space, though comfy seating outdoors would have been a Read moregreat addition. There was plenty of information on a wide range of local activities, places to eat and visit. We would definitely recommend. Hide

What a lovely cottage. Clean and contained everything c we needed for the week. Brilliant to have the enclosed garden for the dogs. What a great base, peaceful village but no shop. Which meant a trip to Alnwick every day. Very little info on local amenities in the cottage.

A very nice cottage which is well equipped and situated in a village with a very nice pub so there was no need to drive to eat elsewhere. The cottage is ideally situated for visiting the coast or historic sites nearby so can thoroughly recommend it as an ideal holiday location.
