An exquisite former country manor, dating back some 400 years, with an abundance of character and beautiful mature gardens, within reach of the beach and coastal walks.
Travel back to a bygone era at this magnificent holiday home, which sits within its own 5-acre grounds that you can explore with your loved ones and pets. The dog-friendly property comfortably accommodates up to 11 guests over its four bedrooms, so it’s a haven for group gatherings and multi-generational family trips. You’ll be just 1.5 miles from the charming harbour resort of Aberdovey, where you’ll find a long sandy beach which is perfect for doggie frolics in the sand.
Everything is grand and impressive at this stately stone house, starting with the elegant reception hall with its central staircase that looks like something out of a period drama. The light-filled lounge offers comfortable seating for relaxation, while the huge kitchen is ready for you to show off your culinary skills. Make memories over meals at the kitchen’s large table, where French windows open to the breeze, or head to the sophisticated dining room to make it a more prestigious affair. Just like in the old films, the property features a large drawing room with doors opening out to the garden – there’s also a TV for quiet evenings in. Challenge fellow guests in the games room or retire early to one of the gorgeously decorated bedrooms, all of which have lovely wooden ceiling beams. An additional upstairs lounge provides a tranquil reading spot. Outside, the landscaped south-facing grounds are ideal for discovering with the dogs. Children and pets can play on the expansive lawn while you unwind with a glass of wine at sunset.
In Aberdovey, you can partake in a number of activities with your pet with you or nearby, such as swimming and paddleboarding. For a group activity everyone will enjoy, why not charter a sailboat to explore Cardigan Bay from the water? Or you could take a stroll along the Welsh Coast Path with your fluff bundles leading the way. If you’re lucky, you may spot dolphins and porpoises in the distance. Snowdonia National Park also opens up a world of adventures, including hikes up peaks like Cader Idris (16.5 miles) and, for the history fans, a visit to King Arthur’s Labyrinth in Corris (14 miles).
