Consisting of two stylish cottages and boasting a natural harbour, this stylish abode is a delight for large groups who can’t resist the thrill of the water in a peaceful location.
It’s surrounded by woodland walks and stunning scenery, making it a haven for dogs and their owners. You’ll be in a peaceful rural spot just 4 miles from Aberdovey, a popular seaside resort and port town with a sandy beach where your pets can run free as kites (some restrictions apply in summer). With space for four up to 14 human guests and five of your doggie chums, this abode is wonderful for family celebrations or holidays among nature-loving friends and their children.
This group-friendly accommodation is made up of two separate cottages. The larger serves as a social hub, with its large open-plan living area where you can eat together around the grand dining table and nestle into the inviting sofas. There’s plenty of light in this space thanks to large dual-aspect windows. Gather around the TV with fellow guests while the dogs stretch out next to the warming wood burner, dreaming of Welsh cakes. In the large kitchen, the range cooker is wonderful for cooking group feasts for up to 14 mouths. The adjacent smaller cottage, accessible via a conservatory, is ideal for families, featuring an open-plan living space, sofa, small dining table and kitchen with essential appliances. Woodland and sweeping countryside surround the dwelling, and there are plenty of outdoor spots to relax nearby. There’s a sunny courtyard, a front patio for picnicking with a sandpit for the children, and a large rear garden complete with natural amphitheatre seating and a BBQ area. A slipway leads to a beach and natural harbour where you can fish – you may be rewarded with sea bass, plaice and mullet. A private deep-water mooring means you can bring your own boat, too. For the thrill-seekers amongst your party, the harbour is a treat for wild swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking and swimming.
Aberdovey offers an excellent array of activities, including water sports, boat trips and a championship golf course where you can take dogs on leads. The town is the meeting point of mountains and sea at the mouth of the River Dyfi, with the diverse landscape of Snowdonia National Park behind it – a true doggie’s paradise.
