The three-storey townhouse has high ceilings and large windows looking out across the water, and is decorated in tones to reflect the surrounding landscape. Enter the property via a hallway, before taking a step up to the dining room. with a magnificent bay window and a table to seat everyone, it’s the perfect setting for memorable mealtimes together. The dining room opens onto a galley-style kitchen, and there’s also a handy shower room on this floor. Upstairs, a vast lounge awaits, with spectacular views across the estuary to the mountains beyond. Relax here after a long walk with the hounds, warming your toes and paws by the wood burner-effect electric fire. A family bathroom and twin bedroom complete this level, with the remaining bedrooms on the second floor. Outside, there’s a small, gravelled courtyard where the woofers can stretch their legs and you can enjoy a morning coffee at the bistro table.
Aberdovey is the perfect base for walkers and four-pawed explorers. As well as the 4-mile, sandy beach, you’ll also find dramatic coastal paths branching away from the village and the challenging peaks of Snowdonia National Park are a short drive away (Cadair Idris is within 16 miles). After a long walk, refuel in one of the village’s many woof-welcoming pubs or restaurants. Further afield, soak up the history in the slate-mining village of Corris (14 miles), or enjoy some retail therapy in Machynlleth (10 miles).
