This coastal escape enjoys a prime position on Aberdovey’s seafront, just 200 metres from the beach and close to its fantastic array of paw-friendly cafes and restaurants. Sleeping four guests and two small pups, it’s the perfect retreat for families and couples seeking a traditional seaside getaway. Along with miles of golden sand to explore with the hounds, you’ll also be within easy reach of the exhilarating tracks and trails of Snowdonia National Park.
Set within a row of pastel-coloured, seafront properties, the first-floor apartment enjoys fantastic views across the bay. After climbing a flight of stairs, you’ll be welcomed into an open-plan living space with a delightful mix of contemporary design and period features. To the rear of the room is a kitchen, with everything you need for a self-catering stay. Come together at the dining table by the window for a meal with a view, before sinking into one of the plump sofas to watch the Smart TV/DVD whilst the hounds doze at your feet. A handy shower room completes this floor. A steep, narrow staircase from the lounge leads to the upper floor, where you’ll find two seaside-themed bedrooms. There is no outside space with the apartment. However, directly opposite the property is a public green where the woofers can stretch their legs.
Aberdovey’s beach is a paradise for four-pawed visitors, with golden sand that stretches for miles, and only a small, seasonal dog restriction on the main beach. After a stroll along the shore, join locals in a spot of crabbing from the jetty or hop aboard a boat trip to explore the bay. Alternatively, pull on your walking boots and get the heart pumping and ears flapping on a challenging climb within the Snowdonia peaks of Cadair Idris (16 miles) or Aran Fawddwy (30 miles).
