Settle back and enjoy the magical views from this inviting holiday home in Matlock, where a pair of happy hounds can also stay. Sleeping six guests across three bedrooms, the four-storey property is ideal for anyone eager to explore the scenic Peak District with their faithful friends by their side. Venture less than 1 mile to the national park or head straight out into the Derwent Valley.
Make your way into the cottage and then the lounge with your happy hounds padding behind you. Take in the views in here or call them through into the second lounge, where you can find a film to enjoy on the Smart TV while they stretch out. When they start asking you for their dinner, take them down to the kitchen/diner on the lower ground floor to feed them, then open the back door so you can accompany them out into the courtyard garden, a few steps down. Find a games room and utility space, with a washing machine, down here too. All the bedrooms are situated on the top two floors. A king-size room, a bunk bedroom and the family bathroom are on the first floor, while another king-size bedroom is on the second floor. Wake up and take your delighted dogs for a walk before breakfast. Return to have coffee out in the garden, down some steps, before heading off on the next dog-friendly adventure. The cottage has parking for one small car, with additional space on the road, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Drive 5.5 miles to Elton in the Peak District for a 6-mile, circular walk, taking in Robin Hood’s Stride, a spectacular tor of rocks. Stanton Moor, 4.5 miles from the cottage, where you can see the Nine Ladies Stone Circle, is also a beautiful place to tire out furry feet.
