Enjoy a stay at this charming cottage with your four-pawed pal in tow which enjoys a private patio area as well as beautiful, shared gardens for morning walkies. Situated on the south of the island in the Isle of Wight Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, you’ll be able to find adventure both on the coast and in the countryside with the blissful dog-friendly beach of Luccombe Bay (9 miles), and the rural footpaths of Chillerton Down (5 miles).
You’ll feel instantly at home as you step inside the dual-aspect open-plan living space which is flooded with natural light. Warmed by a characterful wood burner, the lounge area encourages you to kick back and relax with your loved ones at your side. The kitchen area has a country decor featuring a Belfast sink and wood-clad walls. It has been equipped with everything you’ll need to cook up indulgent meals as well as a dining table perfect for two. When the sun is shining, you can throw open the patio doors to let your canine bask in the warmth on the patio whilst you take a seat on the bench and get lost in a good book. After a day out exploring, the cottage bedroom offers a calming space to unwind and get a good night’s rest, with a delightful double bed with soft sheets and plenty of pillows. Completing the property is the en-suite shower room. Beyond the courtyard area are the generous shared gardens with lots of mature trees and shrubs to sniff at, as well as picturesque views seen from the benches.
Benefitting from the island’s unique microclimate, Ventnor Botanic Garden (7 miles) is bursting with rare and exotic plants and welcomes well-behaved dogs to come and explore. After a tail-wagging visit to the plants, you can stop off for a rest at The Plantation Room Cafe with water bowls available. To get the best of the rugged coastline, take the path from Ventnor (7 miles) to Shanklin which spans for just over 3 miles and will take you through moorland, beach and woodland on an invigorating active day out.
