Birch House is a great base from which to explore Hay and the surrounding area. The property was spotless and is very well equipped. Romana was very quick to respond to any questions we had. The dogs particularly loved the fact that it was a short stroll to The Warren where they could swim in the river.

This house was very nice, convenient for good walks and the town. Once parked at the property it was easy to get your exercise on the walks. Also plenty to see and do in the town especially if you are a bookworm.

My sister and I with our elderly parents stayed for a week in September 2023. Birch House was exceptionally clean. The layout was perfect as there are 2 tv rooms and a downstairs loo. Kitchen was well appointed with plenty of dishes and cooking equipment. Good quality bedding and pillows. Located on the outskirts of Hay, in a very quiet area on theRead more edge of a housing development. Hide

A really great house in a quiet location. Very clean, well equipped and very comfortable. A secure back garden which was great for our dog. The town centre is just a 10 minute walk away either along the road or along a bike path among the trees with views of the River Wye.

We really enjoyed our stay at Birch House. It was clean, comfortable and well equipped, and the welcome pack (including wine, bread, milk and welsh cakes) was greatly appreciated. The house is in a good location, close to the river and just a short (10 minute) walk into the town. Theres also a little play area on the estate. I would thoroughly recommend Birch House. The house was immaculate, lots of thought had gone into making sure that we had everything we could possibly need during our stay. The house is in an ideal location to walk into Hay on Wye along the river or via the road. It is in a great location for visits to Brecon and Hereford.
