Nestled in the peaceful Cornish countryside beside the owner’s home, this charming, single-storey converted barn, complete with a bubbling hot tub and an enclosed garden, is the perfect retreat for couples or friends – especially those with four-legged companions – looking to explore all that West Cornwall has to offer.

Step into the welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Vaulted ceilings add to the airy feel, while the wood burner in the lounge makes it the perfect spot to relax with your canine companion after a busy day of exploring. Curl up on the sofa and watch your favourite film on the Smart TV while your furry friend snoozes in front of the fire. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare food and you can enjoy your meals at the dining table for two as you plan tomorrow’s activities. The super-king-size zip-and-link bedroom, which can be made into a twin on request, is a restful space to unwind, complete with a dressing table and wardrobe. A stylish shower room completes the interior. Outside, the enclosed garden is a safe space for your pup to roam while you relax in the hot tub or fire up the BBQ for some al fresco dining. Private parking for two cars is available.

This cosy getaway is 1 mile from the local pet-positive pub, where you can enjoy a hearty meal after a day of adventure. For those craving coastal fun, Porthtowan and Portreath beaches (both within 10 miles) are perfect for a splash in the sea and are dog friendly during certain times of the year. You can also head out along the South West Coast Path to experience the region’s stunning cliffs and hidden coves, with plenty of trails your canine companion will love to explore. A visit to nearby Falmouth (7 miles) offers a delightful mix of independent shops, art galleries, cafes and restaurants, many of which welcome well-behaved hounds. If you and your four-pawed pal are fans of garden walks, the beautiful estates of Trelissick, Trebah Gardens, and Glendurgan are all within 8 miles and allow dogs in many areas of their grounds.

We've just enjoyed a fabulous week at the Piggery. We couldn't fault the accommodation, which was exactly as described. Comfortable with all the facilities we needed and well located to reach north and south Cornwall for our walks. We absolutely loved our stay at the cottage. The location is brilliant as it's fairly central for exploring all that Cornwall has to offer without it being too much of a trek. The amenities in the cottage were spot on for what we needed and much like the other reviews, loved being able to relax in the hot tub after a long day of walks along the beaRead morech - just what was needed! The Piggery was a gem of a find. Everything you could need; a lovely hot tub for relaxing in and a huge paddock for our fur babies to run around in. It's safe and secluded but with some great little pubs just a few minutes drive away. Equal distance from the north and south of Cornwall, if you're the exploring type. We will definitely be back.

The Piggery @Glen View is a great little cottage. My wife, our dog and I had a lovely few days down in Cornwall exploring the beautiful landscape and it was great to be able to relax in the evening at the cottage. The owner Steve met us when we got there to get us settled and recommended a great dog friendly pub that was brilliant. We had a great time. Initially worried we were a bit inland but in fact found we were ideally placed to get to all our chosen spots within 20-45 minutes. The cottage was a decent size for 2 and Piper, our dog, enjoyed the field for exercise. We'd recommend and Steve and family were gracious hosts!

Very easy review to write! Lovely, peaceful, cosy cottage, well equipped. We've felt like at home since the minute we''ve stepped in. The bed is THE BEST, so comfy you don't want to get up. But you have to cause there are lots of nice places to visit around. Lovely property, very comfortable with everything you could need. Ideally situated in Central Cornwall, perfect for visiting all areas. We found this cottage as it was available for our dates, in the area we wanted, and was dog friendly, had an ev charger and a hot tub We are so glad we found it - very close for visiting family in Falmouth, very well maintained cottage - I always struggle with beds but this one is massive and so comfortable. We had an amazing stay at the piggery. The cottage is in a fantastic location to explore Cornwall and both homely and modern at the same. That made us and the dogs feel right at home. We couldn't recommend this place enough.

Superb accommodation and everything had been thought of for a very comfortable stay. From the extremely comfortable bed to the welcome pack to see you through for a couple of days. The Piggery is ideally situated to explore Cornwall and is in a very tranquil location. I would highly recommend staying here, we loved it and our dogs loved it too.

Set in a great location for exploring Cornwall. A beautiful cottage that is the perfect size for a couple. Great kitchen facilities, which included a washing machine. Very helpful owners. Also, loved the hot tub.

Perfect couple retreat! Lovely location with easy access to lots of nearby trips out. Perfect with the dogs and the outdoor space. We had a fantastic stay, the cottage was amazing defiantly 5 star, so clean and perfect size for 2 plus a dog. Hot tub was a real bonus and was used after spending the sight seeing Cottage is great for dogs as has a secure garden and also use of a field for exercising/walking dogs

What a wonderful place to stay for a break away from the busyness of everyday life. The Piggery is well laid out, has everything you need for your stay and was cleaned to a high standard.
