Brimming with charming reminders of its past life, this former Sunday School is a unique Cornish hideaway for couples, small families and, of course, four-legged friends. Behind its unchanged facade lies fresh, light and open-plan accommodation complete with a warming wood burner for those chillier evenings and beautifully presented bedrooms and bathrooms tucked away in the eaves above. When you’re not enjoying tea in the picture-perfect cottage garden, explore this magical pocket of West Cornwall, with its dog-friendly beaches, open-air theatre, famous filming locations and historic towns and villages.

Sympathetically converted to retain much of its original charm and appeal, this historic building now boasts elegant and timeless accommodation finished with carefully chosen modern comforts. At one end of the open-plan living space, a charming kitchen area contains everything you could need and features one of the many beautiful and large windows. Sitting beside another is a contemporary dining table to seat six, while a plump and inviting L-shaped sofa surrounds a wood burner and Smart TV at the other side of the room. Leaving your faithful friend to keep cosy beside the crackling fire, climb the charming staircase that leads up to the bedrooms and bathroom. Beautifully decorated in restful whites, with a stylish boutique hotel feel and featuring stunning original windows, the bedrooms will have you looking forward to the end of the day. The charm of this property extends to the garden, where a summerhouse and BBQ are surrounded by beautifully stocked beds, meandering pathways and rural views, not to mention a host of interesting new smells for your pooch to discover.

For dog walks, choose between the surrounding countryside or the windswept Cornish coastline, with its well-trodden coastal path and dog-friendly beaches. Kenneggy Sands, Long Rock and Portheras Cove are just a few of the many beautiful sandy stretches in the area that welcome dogs all year round. No trip to this part of Cornwall is complete without visiting Botallack, the filming location of the popular TV series, Poldark. Back in St Just, find a good choice of pubs, cafes and convenience stores, all just 0.5 miles from your front door.

Lovely property, well equipped. Great location for exploring this part of Cornwall . Great for a walk along Tinners way to see standing stones. The entrance to the drive is very narrow between the gates. found it best to reverse in.

It beautifully decorated and spacious retreat that has retained it's historical character while upgrading through out with modern comforts. We especially like having an enclosable outside area for the safety of our dog, Zoe, who traveled with us. She loved the walks in the countryside with us.

This is a really characterful and comfortable property for four adults. We visited in November so didnt really take advantage of the garden but it is well provided with seating. We used the woodburner and were very cosy.

Beautiful cottage, very comfortable and well equipped in a glorious spot. It is 10 minutes walk to the village up quite a steep short hill. We loved staying here and visited some of the beautiful coast.

The old Sunday school was very clean and tidy, the welcoming packs were a lovely touch. Our only complaint was the smell of damp and this was evident around the walls, We do appreciate it is an old building, but this can be addressed to be rectified

Hi. We had a lovely week at Sunday School. I found the garden sheers in the shed and cut a path to the upper table to make it usable. Lovely gardens but need gardening!

Typical Cornish character with a twist as an old Sunday School. Short walk up a steep hill to village which has ample facilities- we were there at festival time so that was an added bonus. Got takeaway pizza in village and had a drink one evening. Convenient to many of the go-to places in south Cornwall.

This is a lovely building. Full of nice touches. Everything you could need for cooking and washing. Lovely summerhouse but garden very overgrown. Logs only provided in winter season. Nowhere to hang coats in hall as suggested on website. Was a gas BBQ but no gas bottle in situ. As previous guests commented Driveway is very tight and it is a narrow Read moreroad. But we would stay again when in the area. Would give it a 4 overall. Hide
