As your tired pet stretches out on the rug, unwind with a good book or catch up on your favourite show. The kitchen/diner is equipped with all the essentials for your self-catered holiday. Your doggie pal will love relaxing with you in the attractive courtyard garden, accessible directly from the kitchen and equipped with garden furniture. This creates a great setting for planning your next adventure while sharing a meal or cool drink with your fellow guests.

The property is in the charming town of Ashbourne, which contains charming Georgian terraces, a 13th-century church, a market square, a heritage trail and plenty of independent shops for your perusal. You’ll find plenty of pubs and shops within a 1-mile radius. Carsington Water (8 miles) offers lovely walking trails and if your pup is the water-loving type, she can join you on a kayak or a paddleboard. For a thrilling day out, head to Matlock Bath (12 miles) and ride the cable car up to Heights of Abraham, an impressive hilltop park with walking trails and a dog-friendly cafe.

The 4 of us and Tinker the terrier had a lovely weekend in Ashbourne. The clean cosy and well equipped cottage was in a good location within minutes of the town where there was an abundance and variety of places to eat and drink as well as lots of independent shops. Ashbourne is very dog friendly and I found plenty of walks around including the hugRead moree park. Theres plenty of wardrobe space in both bedrooms and no problem with parking for our 2 cars almost outside the door Hide
