Set in beautiful and tranquil countryside, this delightful cottage provides a brilliant base for exploring the whole of Devon, with Dartmoor on the doorstep and the coast nearby.
Enjoy a complete getaway when you stay in tranquil Hittisleigh and bring your best furry friend with you. Set within the beautiful grounds of the owner’s own property, the one-bedroom holiday home sleeps two guests and one contented canine companion and is situated less than 1.5 miles from the fringes of Dartmoor National Park. Perfect for a couple’s break and ideal for anyone who enjoys spending time in the great outdoors, the cottage’s fabulous location is sure to set ears pricking up and tails wagging.
Climb the external steps into the cottage and enter to find an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Let Rover explore while you settle on the comfortable seating and enjoy a cup of tea and watch the Smart TV. Make your way to the kitchen to prepare dinner for everyone and then enjoy a romantic meal for two at the table while your pal has an after-dinner nap. Settle him for the night then follow the spiral staircase down to the ground floor. Run yourself a hot bubble bath in the bathroom before enjoying a good night’s sleep in the king-size bedroom. Take Rover out into the fresh air every morning and let him run to his heart’s content in the orchard or lawned area. Have breakfast, lunch or dinner out in the sunshine on fine days and enjoy the serenity of the setting before heading off on an adventure. There is parking for one car at the property.
Lace up your boots, grab the lead and strike out towards Dartmoor. Visit the National Trust’s Castle Drogo, 5 miles from your base and above the Teign Gorge within the national park. Dogs are welcome to explore the beautiful estate here with you. Five-acre Stone Lane Gardens, also 5 miles away and in Dartmoor, is also open to four-legged visitors.
