Get back to basics and enjoy an uninterrupted stay in rural Cumbria, exploring an abundance of walking and hiking routes with your beloved pup bounding along by your side. Perfectly suited to a party of four and one canine companion, the former weaver’s cottage lends itself perfectly to a small family or a couple on a romantic retreat. Relax with the sound of the river gently passing by outside, curled up with a good book or watching the TV as Fido curls up at your feet and dreams of adventures past.

This humble terraced property has been stylishly decorated to provide an on-trend place to stay, as well as being extremely comfortable for man and dog alike. The ground floor is made up of an open-plan living area with a lounge, kitchen and diner meaning everyone can unwind together late into the night. Set into a traditional stone fireplace, the cosy wood burner will no doubt be your pup’s favourite snooze spot for the duration of your stay. We’re certain they’ll be more than satisfied with this place to sleep as you step upstairs, finding one king-size and one twin bedroom ready to welcome you for an unbeatable night’s sleep.

Even the most energetic of dogs will be worn out by the endless selection of activities on offer close by. After all, the property lies just 2 miles from the world-famous Lake District National Park, with stunning Lake Windermere 8.5 miles away and the glorious scenery that surrounds it marked with easy-to-follow pathways for unforgettable dog walks. Challenge your pup to a mountain summit, heading to The Old Man of Coniston (19.5 miles) or even embracing the taxing Scafell Pike (26.5 miles). Alternatively, keep things simple with a coastal walk, setting off from the nearby village of Grange-over-Sands (4 miles).
