This lovely, detached property is in a convenient setting on the edge of Braunton and a selection of sandy beaches close by makes this the perfect base for families and groups of friends to enjoy

Sit out in the sunshine at this holiday home in Braunton and watch your pair of contented canines romp about you. This four-bedroom property on the edge of a Devon village sleeps up to eight guests and also welcomes two of their best furry friends. Enjoy being just 2.5 miles from the long, golden beach at Saunton Sands, where your pals can leave their pawprints all year round. They are also welcome to accompany you through the 1,000 hectares of Braunton Burrows, behind the beach, which also offers hours of dog-walking fun.

Step inside this bright, modern home and call your dogs through to the open-plan lounge/kitchen. Let them stretch out on the floor to enjoy the warmth of the underfloor heating and light the wood burner too to enhance the ambience. On summer days, pull open the bi-folding doors so your pair of perfect pups can amble out into the garden. Prepare their meal and yours in the chic kitchen area, with its central island, then feed them in here while the human guests all gather round the table in the dining room. There is also a ground-floor WC and utility room, as well as a king-size bedroom and a twin. The family bathroom is at this level, while two more king-size bedrooms are upstairs on the first floor, each with an en-suite shower room and one with a smart TV. Sit outside and even light the BBQ while your happy hounds race about on the artificial lawn. Find parking for two cars at the house.

Take your dogs on a 15-mile walk along the South West Coast Path from Braunton to Woolacombe. This section, which is also part of the Tarka Trail, captures fabulous, far-reaching, clifftop views out towards Lundy Island.

Wasnt sure what to do at end of holiday as no instructions. Nice but could do with knowing if needed to strip beds, etc. otherwise wonderful place to stay

A very well positioned, beautifully furnished property. Extremely spacious for 8 people and we enjoyed the games room very much. Nice touches included the wine fridge, great glass selection, good coffee machine and bbq. The cottage is very well positioned for great walks, fabulous beaches and pubs & restaurants too.

Generally a lovely and spacious property in a great destination. The bifold doors are lovely and bring the outside in. Comfortable furniture and beds and really clean with lots of useful equipment. Vardons is a beautiful house in a great location for the beach as well as for a short walk into the centre of Braunton. It's the "right" (beach) side of the busy road junction so you can easily avoid the daily traffic. The facilities were perfect for our group - two families of four. Lovely host, quick to respond. The house is spacious and comfortable. Gorgeous enclosed garden, which was great for the kids and dog. A short walk to the local high street and short drive to local beaches. There was plenty of space for 7 of us. Highly recommend this property.

Fantastic house with all you need for a getaway. We went as 6 adults, the rooms were comfy and well equipped. Loved the table tennis table in the garage, we made good use of this. Short drive to coastal walks. Would highly recommended this for a family or group of friends

Immaculate and spacious property, well located for Saunton Sands beach (4 minutes drive) and for visiting picturesque coastal resorts and footpaths. Outside tap and covered surf board store (we also dried our wet suits in it when it rained!) So easy to keep our dog clean. Attractive enclosed garden for our dog and a lovely suntrap for us at the begRead moreinning and end of the day. We stayed at the vardons there was 5 adults 3 kids and 2 dogs and did not feel at all crammed, Location is great Parking great Garden secure and beautiful And the house is just perfect great bathrooms comfy beds and the sea just down the road what more do you need

We had a fantastic stay at Vardon. We found this house surprisingly large especially the bedrooms. Very nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. The games room , coffee machine , wine fridge and Netflix was a bonus .
