Benefitting from proximity to dog-friendly eateries, it is also well positioned for great places to walk. From here, head out on hikes across the undulating countryside around Lake Windermere, about 4 miles away. Return to your base to soak up the sunshine with your pup out in your courtyard garden.

Rinse your best puppy pal under the warm dog shower outside the cottage and dry them off on the porch. Head into the airy kitchen/diner to serve him his dinner and to prepare food for everyone else to enjoy at the table. Step down into the lounge to unwind together after your lively adventures. Watch TV in here or pull back the bi-folding doors so you and your four-legged friend can enjoy seamless indoor/outdoor living. Find you also have a WC downstairs. Climb the steep, narrow, cottage-style stairs to lay your head in the king-size room, with glass wall and en-suite shower room, or the twin, with vaulted ceiling and en-suite bathroom with free-standing bath. Quirky, clean comfortable cottage. The fully enclosed shale garden was ideal for our dogs especially as we had rain at the start of our stay. Very little doggie drying to do and the underfloor heating definitely helped. The parking space was a real bonus too. This cottage was perfect for our requirements and very close to Kendal and Bowness.

See above re concerns which spoil a very pleasant cottage in all other respects, comfortable, well situated, clean and well equipped. I feel you need to decide what feedback you publish, but do feel that information about the flooding and heating issues should be sorted or future guests advised how to manage this.

Beautifully restored cottage. Extremely high level of renovations. Everything we needed and even things we didnt think we needed were on hand. Very clean and well maintained. Wish the ceiling heights upstairs were higher as this is the only reason not to go back. Thank you so much. It was a privilege to stay in the cottage.
