Relax in the pretty village of Arnside and discover the wonders of northern England, with glorious walks from the doorstep, an abundance of flora and fauna, a beach 500 metres from the property, and boasting equal distances to the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks and the traditional seaside town of Morcombe.
Take a trio of delighted dogs with you on your Cumbrian break when you stay at this three-bedroom holiday home in Arnside, which also sleeps up to six human guests. A paws down winner with canines, the terraced garden at the single-storey property is a haven for hounds, who can nose about, explore and chase a tennis ball on the lawn. Close to the southern fringes of the Lake District and less than 14 miles from the Yorkshire Dales, it is also in a great location for reaching beaches with no restrictions and the coastal path.
Climb the exterior steps to the cottage’s front door then stroll inside to discover light-filled rooms with glorious views. Head into the lounge/diner to settle on the comfortable seating while your contented canines enjoy a well-earned nap. Watch TV or make plans for more dog-friendly activities the following day. Make your way into the kitchen to prepare dinner then serve up to hounds in here and humans at the table next door. Give your cheerful chums a last turn about the garden before bidding them goodnight and taking yourself off to either the double, twin or bunk bedroom, which share the family bathroom. Make the most of the beautiful garden as often as possible. Follow the pups as they explore the different sections. Find you have storage for cycles and parking for two cars.
Make a sandwich, pack some dog treats and embark upon an 8-mile, circular walk along the coast and looping back around again through the Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Let the pups run on the sand here when the tide is out and enjoy the views over to Morecambe Bay. Drive 16.5 miles to the southern tip of Lake Windermere for a day out in the Lake District.
