For longer walks that will really set tails wagging, head to Windermere (6 miles) and let your pup scamper over hills and mountains. You can also take your well-behaved hound on a boat trip across the lake. Further delights can be found at Arnside and Silverdale (10 miles), an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the lakeshore Fell Foot Park (5.5 miles) where your hound can enjoy splashing in the water.
