Spend some quality time with man’s best friend in this wonderful holiday cottage which is cosy by name and cosy by nature. Happily sleeping three guests and one dog, the property lends itself perfectly to a small family hoping to discover the very best dog walking routes in the Cumbrian countryside. The traditional feel of the property and lack of Wi-Fi offers you the chance to take a step back in time and truly make the most of relaxed evenings with your nearest and dearest – your four-pawed pal included, of course!
Put your best paw forward and step inside to find an open-plan living space, the true hub of the house. With kitchen, diner and lounge all in one space, we’re certain your beloved bowwow will relish in having their three masters close by in one welcoming space. You’ll find plenty of room to park your dog’s bed and bowl brought from home, preferably offering them a cosy sleeping spot by the wood burner-effect electric fire! Spend time reading or watching TV of an evening before heading up to bed. Completing the property’s offering is a small patio area with seating – a great spot for a breath of fresh air – and a boot room where outerwear can be stored, and mucky paws and fur can be refreshed before venturing indoors.
Pick up your lead and pack a picnic with plenty of dog treats, setting off to discover an endless selection of walks from your doorstep. Whinlatter Forest Park (2 miles) and Dodd Wood Forest (5.5 miles) are two ever-popular dog-walking spots within close reach of the property, whilst the stunning Derwentwater Lake can be found just 2 miles from home. Leave no stick unfetched when summitting Grisedale Pike (2.5 miles) or look forward to a laidback afternoon stroll around the neighbouring town of Keswick (2.5 miles).
