  • Set in quiet Finsthwaite, less than 0.5 miles from beautiful Lake Windermere
  • Ideal for Families
Property code: SZ438

This pretty barn conversion is set in the tranquil village of Finsthwaite, just 0.5 miles from the world-famous Lake Windemere. Invite two families or a group of friends to this magnificent property for exciting explorations with their two adventurous canines in tow.

Watch your eager four-legged friends bound inside as you hang up leads and kick off walking bots in the reception hall. Let your pups sprawl out in front of the toasty open fire on the first floor, where you can relax together and enjoy a good film on the TV or continue the celebrations with a few bops on the Bluetooth Bose speaker. Head into the airy kitchen/diner on the ground floor to serve up treats for your hungry hounds and start preparing hearty meals for humans. Choose to eat together around the table in the kitchen or take your plates to either of the pretty patios for al fresco dining. Say goodnight to sleepy canines and head to one of the four beautifully appointed bedrooms, which span two floors and offer privacy for all group members. In the morning, run the four-pawed pals ragged in the secret garden before grabbing the bicycles from the attached garage and heading out on an adventure.

Find many tracks and trails for curious canines to sniff out with a stay in this gorgeous home. Venture 0.5 miles down to the scenic shores of Lake Windermere to take in the sights at your own pace, whether that be by boat or on foot. Alternatively, keen pups may like to explore Fell Foot's sweeping lawns and crystal waters (3 miles). Ulverston is 10 miles away and provides afternoons of meandering through labyrinths of cobbled streets peppered with ancient buildings and shops to pick up local ingredients. It's also a hotspot for cosy pubs and traditional markets should you wish to stop for a bite to eat.

Had an excellent stay with our extended family. Beautiful house, beautiful scenery. Lovely little Church at the bottom of the driveway surrounded by the most amazing scenery viewable from the panoramic windows. Immaculately clean & everything we needed was there. Cannot think of any improvements.

This is a beautiful home in a great location for exploring the Lake District. It had nice walks from the house for us to take our dog and was an easy drive to get to Bowness, Coniston, Ulverston, Grange Over Sands where there was lots to see and do. Great place to take family We would definitely stay here again

An amazing property with excellent views and amazing walks on your doorstep. We wanted to explore the wider area but found if you wanted to stay local without a car there was ample to do minutes from your front door either walking or on bikes.

Loved cottage, warm, cosy and everything you would need for a family/group holiday. Garden great, lots of different sections. We kept our bigger dog on a lead as he likes the sheep that can be seen. Cottage on 3 levels with some stairs, may be an issue for those with mobility concerns, as kitchen is on ground floor and living area 1stfloor. Views aRead morere spectacular from conservatory. Walks from the cottage are fantastic!Cottage is attached to neighbours, but no issues there. Excellent place to stay Hide

A lovely, comfortable house in a beautiful area - easy access to the Lakes without the bustle of the honeypot centres like Windermere. Great walks and swims close by at High Tarn and Lakeside. Thoroughly recommended.
