Travelled with a 3 yr & 8 months old & personally felt like the property wasnt baby friendly due to the extension leads around the house & electical heaters. That said, the cottage is in a fab location & is well equipped. The Sky Tv is a bonus.

The cottage is in a lovely, quiet location at the end of Borrowdale. It was a little cold and damp when we got there, but once we mastered the heating system things improved. We arrived to find the hot water tap in the kitchen hanging off the sink, making it dangerous to use. We contacted the managers, who arranged for it to be repaired within a coRead moreuple of hours. Well done! However, the location of the washing machine and tumble dryer in the bathroom was dangerous and possibly not legal? Hide

Amazing location! Walk straight into the hills and youre away! Log fire and plenty of hot water to return too. Rough and ready but perfect for a family who plan to spend most of the time walking and exploring this area.

The cottage is warm & cosy, situated in a great location, quiet, comfortable, well equipped and there is a bus stop near by should you wish to leave your car parked up. A little dated, but everything worked well. Good for dogs as it has Lino floors and a door at the bottom of the stairs.. It was nice to watch a film on the provided Netflix. No outside space, but didnt really matter to us. There are places surrounding the cottage for dogs to go to the toilet, but they need to be on a lead. No road noise. As per previous reviews, not the best equipped holiday cottage. Be sure to take your own firewood, matches, washing up soap, enough loo rolls and be prepared to wash up whilst on holiday as there isn't a dishwater. Parking is a massive plus. WiFi is great. Comfy beds. Warm when the storage heaters are on but the bathroom is freezing. The heated towel rail isn't enough. Nothing near to grab essentials so you have to travel. Perfect for walkers and a quiet location.

Value for money. Everything functional. However some small upgrades would go a long way. Both the living room and bedrooms are really nice, however I would suggest this isn't a property for 5 adults, we were 3 adults and it was tight. I would suggest that the 3rd bedroom would be better suited being turned into a shower room. The only real negativeRead more is the bathroom needs an upgrade, and some of the kitchen appliances are approaching needing replacement Again for the price can't complain. Hide
