Enjoy long walks around enchanting Coniston Water when you retreat to this Lake District holiday home with a pair of delighted dogs. Sleeping six guests as well as two hounds, the three-bedroom, slate cottage nestles in woodland close to the shores of the picturesque lake. With a private garden, it also enjoys a leafy trail down to the water, where there is a wild swimming spot that is shared with others staying close by and where your four-legged friends can dip their paws in the cool water.
Step inside, hang dog leads in the hall and call your cheerful chums through into the lounge. Light the wood burner in here and watch them stretch out for a well-earned rest, while you find something to enjoy on the TV with Netflix, before dinner. Head into the kitchen to feed all members of your party and find everything you need in here to prepare tasty treats with the fresh, local produce you have picked up on your excursions. Find you have a ground-floor WC and that the family bathroom is on the first floor, together with the bedrooms. These include a double bedroom with en-suite shower room, and two twins. Take the pups out for a woodland stroll in the morning. Enjoy relaxing out here during the day too, while your furry friends soak up the sunshine; sizzle supper on the BBQ in the evening. Find parking for two cars at the cottage.
Follow all sorts of walking routes in this area, including the 14-mile hike that will take you and your energetic pups all the way around the lake. Explore Torver Common and climb the Old Man of Coniston, approximately 6 miles away. Take a dog-friendly cruise on the water to treat yourselves to a little break from all the exercise.
