Book a break at this spacious townhouse in the Lake District’s Keswick and watch your best furry friend’s tail wag from start to finish. The handsome period property sleeps eight guests, plus one of their canine companions, making it ideal for a group trip. Step out from here to explore the colourful Lakeland hub, pausing at dog-friendly cafes and pubs for a hearty homecooked meal or bowl of water. Venture out of town to take your happy hound on pleasurable walks beside lakes and rivers and up over picturesque hills and fells.

Let yourselves into the house and make your way into the lounge/diner. Stoke up the wood burner and relax together, enjoying the warmth as you watch the TV with Freeview or perhaps a DVD. Wake your contented canine from his doggy daydreams to feed him in the adjacent kitchen and decide who is going to prepare dinner for the rest of your party. Discover the family bathroom on a half landing, then a king-size bedroom with en-suite shower room, and a twin on the first floor. Another twin and a double, plus a family shower room, are on the floor above. Take your pup out for a stroll in the morning, perhaps beside the river or over at Fitz Park. Sit out in the courtyard garden when you return on warm mornings. Find a useful washing machine and space to store bikes in the garage. Parking is on the road, subject to availability.

See furry ears prick up when you set out from home on a 1.5-mile stroll to the Castlerigg Stone Circle. From here take in the panoramic views over towards the mountains. Wander less than 800 metres from the house to the shores of Derwentwater. Take energetic hounds on a 10-mile circuit of the beautiful lake.

This is the second time our family of 8 adults have stayed at this property and it is always clean and welcoming with ample space to accommodate us all :). It is in a convenient location close to town & the park. We had the addition of a baby this year & the double bedroom with en suite was ideal. Perfect house for a group of friends or large family. Very clean and well equipped. The location allowed the teenagers to walk into and out of town as they pleased and the large lounge and dining table provide space for work and games. Good for dog, with small yard and short walk into Fitz Park. I highly recommend the house for a stay in Keswick.

Perfect house for a group of friends or couple/large family, well equipped beds very comfortable, 3 bathrooms to use which was great for 6 of us. It was a fantastic location although there is no parking space we did find parking for 3 cars very close by, we will definitely return!

Three couples on a mini break for my husband's 60th Birthday, Skimming Stones was perfect! We parked easily in the street, the house was very clean, spacious and comfortable with everything we needed and we were each able to have our own bathroom. Just minutes away from the centre of town we absolutely loved Keswick. We would recommend 'The Square Read moreOrange' tapas restaurant. We also loved the Latrigg walk, its spectacular views over Keswick and beyond Hide

Great property for groups of walkers! The bedrooms are all spacious and the 3 x bathrooms makes getting up and out in the morning very smooth. I'd definitely come back to this house.

This house is amazing in the beautify town of Keswick. I can fault the accommodation or the way it is furnished loved it The let down is parking no allocated space bumper to bumper and difficult to park which makes loading unloading or using the car a chore. People say its not an issue I disagree there is very little space anywhere near and it is Read morenot even the school holidays. If that is not of concern then book you will not be disappointed in this house. Hide

Fabulous property and in a great location for easy access to hill walks, the park & the town centre. The back yard was a delightful suntrap in the afternoon and we all loved the wall map in the dining room.

Superb location- just a very short walk to shops and restaurants and short drive to super high walks. Plenty of free on-road parking. Very nicely presented house, beautifully decorated, comfortable and ideal for our family of 6. Large dining table for us all to eat together. Kitchen was well equipped. Bring your own bath towels but tea towels and bRead moreathmats provided. Washing machine useful and easy to use.
