Head to this holiday home in the Lake District’s vibrant Keswick and take up to four canine companions. Sleeping up to four human guests as well, the two-bedroom cottage is well placed for a small dog-loving family or two couples looking for a perfect balance of convenience to shops, pubs and restaurants and access to the great outdoors. From here, strike out on walks beside Derwentwater or up in the fells surrounding Keswick. Return to the town for a well-earned drink or bowl of water in one of the many places that welcome four-legged friends.

Let yourselves in this inviting property and find a home from home with space for everyone. Call the pups into the lounge to stretch out on the floor after their exhilarating days out. Find a film to watch on TV or DVD or listen to music through the Hi-Fi. When mealtimes beckon, head into the kitchen to feed your hungry hounds and to cook hearty meals for everyone else to enjoy in the dining room. Make your way up to the first floor to find a super-king-size bedroom, which can be arranged as a twin if requested in advance. There are also two shower rooms, a separate WC and a double bedroom on this floor. An extra room, suitable for older children and with a TV for games consoles, can be found at attic level. This has steep ladder access only and can be booked at an additional charge. Find parking for two cars at the property.

Lace up your boots and take your waggy-tailed walking companions on a 10-mile circuit of Derwentwater. Less able pups might prefer to hop on a dog-friendly cruise. A shorter 1.5-mile walk will take you to see the famous Castlerigg Stone Circle, out to the east of Keswick.

  • 2 bedrooms – 1 super-king-size (can be made into twin beds on request), 1 double.
  • 1 additional attic room (not suitable for young children)  with two single beds. If you require the beds to be made up in either of the attic rooms an additional charge applies - please contact us to book
  • 2 shower rooms with WCs and 1 separate WC
  • Gas oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, freestanding fridge-freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer

  • Towels not provided
  • Off road parking for 2 cars but it is very tight to get in to the parking space - confidence is required, or there is street parking nearby
  • Shop, pub, restaurant within 0.5 mile
  • Please note there is an additional charge for using the attic rooms and it must be requested at the time of booking
  • The TV in the attic room only works when linked up to a gaming console so please bring your own with you
  • Very steep ladder style steps lead up to the attic room and it has fully opening windows so is not suitable for young children
  • Arrival: 16:00 onwards
  • Departure: before 10:00, unless otherwise stated in your arrival details
  • 4 dogs allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week
  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £200 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £25. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

A great week Cottage totally suited our needs Parking as mentioned tricky and we had a Volvo XC90 but doable Great for dogs even though no garden- parks within a 2 minute walk. Great location 3 minute walk to the centre of Keswick But in a quiet cul-de-sac off main roads

Good location - easy access to shops and places to eat, and quite convenient for getting out of the town. Parking is challenge, as mentioned, but (in my view) the difficulty was exaggerated (and we had a largish car).

The cottage is well equipped and comfortable. The location is in the centre of the town, with a park opposite. Walks on the doorstep too. Parking is a bonus.

We loved everything about the cottage, but the parking was virtually impossible . Not suitable for someone partially disabled as the car had to be parked offsite at a cost of 11 per day and this did not even guarantee a space during busy times!, Access was restricted by large cars, work vehicles and scaffolding on neighbouring property. The only reRead moreason I wouldnt recommend was the parking. For someone without a car it would be 100% Hide

Description needs updating in line with current condition of the property. Disappointed no literature or maps of the area available to look at. No welcome pack eg. bottle of milk & tea bags there on arrival, so first thing we had to do was find a local shop.

Lovely comfortable cottage. Well located and park close by for dog walking. Parking is a problem but only had a short stay so never needed the car as town and facilities are on the doorstep. Would stay again.

Excellent location for the many joys of Keswick and the surrounding area. Well equipped and clean premises with excellent bathrooms for both main bedrooms. As stated the access does require some reversing skills!
