This charming cottage lies in the heart of the Lake District National Park. It’s ideal for families or friends who enjoy amenities nearby, surrounded by glorious countryside to explore.
Located in the bustling market town of Keswick, this delightful cottage is perfectly placed for those who love to get outdoors and explore on foot and paw. You’ll be less than 1 mile from the shores of Derwentwater and within 5 miles of the mighty fells of Skiddaw and Catbells. The property sleeps four guests and one furry companion, making it ideal for small families and couples. After a long walk, return to your cosy cottage to snuggle in front of the open fire or enjoy a spot of al fresco dining under the stars in the cute courtyard.
Enter the property via the gated courtyard (which has shared access with the neighbouring cottage) and take a step up into the warm and welcoming holiday home. The cottage has an open-plan lounge/diner which is decorated in a contemporary style and is a fabulous space for socialising. Come together around the dining table for evenings of great food and laughter, followed by a shared bottle of wine in front of your favourite film on the TV/DVD. The beautiful open fire provides the perfect dozing spot for your four-legged friend. Upstairs, you’ll find two elegant bedrooms: a king-size and a twin. In the morning, sip your coffee in the courtyard garden whilst the pup stretches their legs.
Whinlatter Forest Park makes a great doggy day out, particularly on a hot day, as there’s plenty of shade. Follow the waymarked walking trails through the trees, enjoy lunch at one of the picturesque picnic spots or test your head for heights at Go Ape. Closer to home, Hope Park (less than 0.5 miles) in the centre of Keswick is a lovely place for an afternoon dog walk. Wander through the immaculately landscaped gardens, followed by coffee and cake at the woof-friendly cafe.
