Set in a quiet residential part of town, this beautifully decorated Victorian property is an ideal retreat for larger families and groups of friends discovering this magnificent part of the Lake District. A great spot for walkers and cyclists, the property offers glorious views of Skiddaw and Latrigg.
A few steps lead up into the property, with a spacious hallway leading through to the relaxing lounge. With a high ceiling, big bay windows and wooden floors, this is an ideal space to sit back in front of the coal-effect gas fire, chat about the day or watch a film. There’s also a sociable dining room as well as a fully equipped kitchen and a games room with a pool table. A half landing leads to a charming snug with a TV and DVD, and to the family bathroom and separate shower room. Heading further up the curved staircase the first two bedrooms are on the first floor: a king-size room with Skiddaw views, and a twin room. Three further bedrooms are on the second floor: a twin, a king-size and a single room with views of the fells. Outside, the small backyard has outdoor furniture, and there’s a small, raised terrace out the front, both providing a pleasant spot for morning coffee.
Dogs are welcome throughout Keswick and at attractions including the Puzzling Place, the Derwent Pencil Museum, Mirehouse, Threlkeld Quarry and Mining Museum and Whinlatter Forest Park (all within 5 miles). There are wonderful walks along the shores of Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite Lake (both within 4 miles).
