This retreat features a large garden that leads into a pretty private woodland, perfect for you and your canine companions to explore.
The property features a spacious and relaxing lounge, with a wood burner, plenty of seating and a TV, and makes a lovely space for settling back at the end of a great day out. There’s also a cosy snug perfect for spotting the local birdlife. You can cook and share all your favourite meals in the fully equipped kitchen/diner which has a breakfast bar, dining table and views towards Skiddaw. Upstairs, there are three light, cool and refreshing bedrooms to choose between: a king-size, a double and a twin, along with a handy shower room and a family bathroom. Outside, there’s a lockable bike store and a charming, terraced space with patio furniture to the front of the cottage. To the back of the property, the partially enclosed hillside garden occupies a couple of acres before leading into the private woodlands. The garden and woodland are a haven for wildlife including slow worms, hedgehogs, bank voles, red leg partridges,siskins, nut hatches, tawny owls and more.
Head out into Whinlatter Forest Park, with miles of walking and bike trails to follow. Dogs are welcome in plenty of pubs and cafes in Braithwaite (2 miles) and Keswick (4 miles). The shores of Bassenthwaite Lake (1 mile) and Derwentwater (3 miles) are within easy reach, and dogs are welcome at Mirehouse, the Puzzling Place and Threlkeld Quarry and Mining Museum (all within 8.5 miles).
