A lovely, calm and relaxing getaway with spellbinding views, this cosy property has plenty of original features including exposed beams and a wood burner, as well as a four-poster bed and a light-filled garden room. The cottage is one of three properties on site, making a wonderfully secluded getaway for eager walkers, cyclists and their four-legged friends.
Entering this spacious cottage you will find two delightful lounges to relax in. The first features a wood burner and a wide range of books to browse, while the second has a wood burner, TV/DVD and makes a great space for sitting back and enjoying a film. The ground floor also has a light-filled garden room with pretty views, plus a dining room perfect for enjoying a fantastic family meal. With a breakfast table and a range of useful equipment, the warm and inviting kitchen is a pleasure to cook in. The first floor offers four light and tasteful en-suite bedrooms decorated in soothing tones: three doubles, including one with a fantastic four-poster bed, plus a bunk bedroom with an additional single bed. Outside, the mature garden features some lovely seating areas, a swing and some hidden nooks tucked away behind hedges and through archways.
Both Penrith (10 miles) and Keswick (11.5 miles) have plenty of dog-friendly places to eat and drink, and dogs are welcome at many attractions nearby including Threlkeld Quarry and Mining Museum, Derwent Pencil Museum, Whinlatter Forest Park and the Puzzling Place (all within 16 miles). The spellbinding lake of Ullswater is to the south (2.5 miles) or you can head west to Thirlmere, Bassenthwaite Lake and Derwentwater (all within 13 miles).
