Everyone in our party of 15 loved Esk View - it's a big, characterful house with all the necessary group facilities that manages to keep cosy through the blowy winter chills . The location is terrific for walks and fortuitously close to some of the best pubs on planet Earth

It was good to see that there have been some improvements to the property during the last year, and for the first time there were some Christmas decorations which was a nice touch.

Great location and good house for extended family holiday. It feels quite tired and a bit shabby, and we felt with a really good deep clean, some replacement furniture and a bit of extra lighting in strategic areas it would be a five star rather than 4 star property.

The property is comfy, cosy and very well equipped. 14 of us stayed over the Christmas week and we had a great time- seeing the local area and playing lots of games! The Boot Inn is well worth a visit, as is the Mill. Plus a trip on the train to Ravenglass is a nice day out too.
