Outside is a large garden that is enclosed, ideal for the dogs to roam around safely or sunbathe on the lawn, while you dine alfresco on the patio.
Kirkland village has good access to walking and cycling routes that wind into the Lake District. Find a new leash of life tackling one of the western fells such as Steeple, Great Borne and Red Pike, all within 8 miles. Take to the water on a paddleboard, kayak or simply stroll along the lakeside at Loweswater (8 miles), Crummock Water (10.5 miles) or Ennerdale (3.5 miles). Head to the pretty village of Buttermere (13.5 miles) next to Buttermere Lake. From here, walk to the highest falls in the Lake District, Scale Force Waterfall, or the picturesque Moss Force Waterfall. If you fancy a day at the beach, let the dogs run free at Whitehaven Beach (7.5 miles) and explore Whitehaven’s Georgian town.
