A cosy, traditional country-style cottage, sleeping five guests in Keswick town, close to Derwentwater, Skiddaw and Scafell Pike.
This quaint Victorian cottage is located in the attractive market town of Keswick. The property sleeps five guests and two woofers, making it the perfect family holiday home. Enjoy strolls around the magnificent Derwentwater directly from the cottage or hop in the car to explore some of the Lake District’s top doggy attractions, such as Scafell Pike (24 miles) or Whinlatter Forest (5 miles). The cottage is heated by a roaring open fire and has a pretty outdoor area where you can dine in the sunshine during the summer.
The cosy cottage has a home-away-from-home vibe and is comfortably furnished. Come together around the dining table for evenings of great food and laughter, with the hounds stretched out in front of the gorgeous open fire. After dinner, retire to the charming lounge to relax on the plump sofa and watch TV or read a book. From the kitchen, doors lead to the garden. The outdoor area is enclosed with a low stone wall, so be sure to keep an eye on energetic pups who might make a bolt for freedom! There’s a patio area with outdoor furniture, so you can dine outside surrounded by the delightful mature shrubs and pretty flowers.
A 1-mile stroll will bring you to the shores of Derwentwater. Here, you and your four-legged chums can follow the beautiful waterside path that circumnavigates this glorious lake or hop aboard the paw-friendly Keswick Launch to majestically glide from jetty to jetty. The views from the lake are simply stunning, encompassing Lakeland icons such as Skiddaw and Catbells. Right in the heart of Keswick, you’ll find the colourful Hope Gardens (1 mile). This is a lovely spot to enjoy a morning dog walk, meandering amongst the vibrant floral displays, before sipping a coffee at the woof-welcoming cafe.
