Located in the vibrant and buzzing market town of Keswick, this charming cottage is the perfect base for guests looking to explore the rugged fells and mountains within the Lake District National Park. Sleeping up to five visitors and one pup, this property also benefits from being a short stroll away from a number of dog-friendly pubs, bistros, restaurants and independent shops.
Your excitable pup will soon be making themselves at home in this delightful cottage. With plenty of light and bright space, your group can choose from a number of rooms to relax and unwind in. Watch your favourite film on the TV and DVD player in the living room while your dog snoozes gently on your lap. Alternatively, gather in the pretty conservatory or whip up a meal in the well-equipped kitchen. Plan your next day’s great outdoor adventure while you eat dinner at the dining table before settling down for the night in one of three bedrooms: a king size, a twin and a cosy single. In the morning, step out and take a seat on the patio with your four-pawed pal and listen to the birdsong. Bring your bikes along as there’s an outdoor storage shed that’s home to a tumble dryer and freezer.
England’s highest mountain – Scafell Pike – is just 9 miles from the property’s front door. Keen hikers and dog walkers will also delight in a climb to the summit of Catbells – 5 miles away – which will reward you with spectacular views across luscious valleys and water. For literary lovers, a visit to the childhood home of William Wordsworth in Cockermouth is a must. It is open from the spring and can be reached in 12 miles.
