Set in the picturesque hamlet of Seatoller, this cheerful holiday cottage makes a lovely getaway for four guests, with ample space for one canine companion. Originally a miner’s cottage, the property has been tastefully updated and decorated to offer a warm and relaxing retreat for families and couples exploring the fells and woodlands at the heart of the Lake District. With stunning views over Borrowdale, this spacious retreat is within easy reach of some of the area’s best-loved lakes.
Named after an east-facing crag on Watendlath Fell, this traditional cottage features a bright and cheerful lounge. With an open fire set in a slate fireplace, plus plenty of seating, a TV and DVD, this is a great space to sit back, watch a movie or chat about the day. The airy dining room is perfect for gathering to share a fantastic meal which you can cook in the fully equipped kitchen. Upstairs, there are two cosy bedrooms: one king-size and a twin, along with a family bathroom and a little ‘secret room’ at the top of the stairs. Outside, the pretty garden has a lovely lawn for your dog to exercise in, along with a patio area and outdoor furniture providing an ideal spot for sitting back with a glass of wine in the evening. At the bottom of the garden, a gate leads to Hause Gill as it flows past into the River Derwent.
Seatoller is close to Buttermere, Crummock Water, Derwentwater (all within 7.5 miles) and Bassenthwaite Lake (12 miles), making it a great location for keen dogs and their owners who love to explore.
