From the lounge, a corner staircase leads upstairs where you will find a family bathroom and two tastefully decorated bedrooms: a relaxing king-size room with plenty of storage and a dressing table, plus a cheerful twin room ideal for children. Outside, the garden has mature shrubs and a raised decked area with seating, providing a lovely spot for breakfast and watching birds on the feeders in the mornings.
Portinscale is home to a cafe, pub and hotel, as well as two marinas, making it a great spot for sailing, fishing or enjoying a range of water sports on Derwentwater. Keswick (2 miles) is home to plenty of dog-friendly attractions including the Puzzling Place and the Derwent Pencil Museum. Dogs are also welcome to explore the grounds of Mirehouse on the shore of Bassenthwaite Lake (5 miles), Threlkeld Quarry and Mining Museum (6.5 miles) and Whinlatter Forest Park (3.5 miles).
