Set in the Lake District National Park, this charming property is a true home from home. It’s made for families who want to explore Cumbria’s heritage and spectacular surroundings.

Head to this holiday home right at the centre of the Lakeland town of Keswick and take a pair of very happy hounds with you to enjoy your picturesque surroundings. Strike out from this two-bedroom property, which sleeps up to four guests, to walk beside the River Greta or along the shores of Derwentwater. Enjoy trips out to other areas of the national park, where you can set tails wagging with long strolls through swathes of woodland and picturesque valleys, as well as hikes up scenic fells and walks next to other magical lakes.

Call your contented canines into their new home from home and put your paws up for half an hour or so in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner after your days out exploring. Select a DVD or find your favourite programme on the TV. When mealtimes beckon, head over to the kitchen area to feed your hungry hounds and whip up a feast for the rest of the household. You also have a useful washing machine for whizzing through any damp doggy towels after wet walks. As night falls, bid your cheerful chums goodnight and make your way up to the first floor of the cottage. Have a long, hot bubble bath before laying your head in either the twin bedroom or the double for the night. Wake up to take your perfect pets out for a stroll in Lower Fitz Park, less than 500 metres away, before returning home for breakfast. You have parking for one car at the cottage.

Lace up your boots, grab the leads and head about 1.5 miles out of town to see the famous Castlerigg Stone Circle. Wander less than 1 mile down to Derwentwater then attempt a section of the 10-mile walk around the lake or even the whole loop.

Absolutely superb location next to the main street so our teenage daughters could explore the town without us. Despite the town centre spot it was quiet at night. Loads of walking from base so the car didnt move all bank holiday weekend. So many eateries and bars. Even walked to watch a show at the Theatre by the Lake. The house was lovely and warmRead more. Great location but can get a bit noisy in the morning with traffic outside. WiFi is very good. Car parking is very good. Beds are very comfy. No problems sleeping. Heating system is very good. Kitchen facilities are very good.

Cottage was in a great location for town and lake. Parking a little awkward but helpful being in centre of town. Cottage was cosy and had everything we needed.

VERY conveniently placed to all amenities; restaurants, cinema, shops, supermarket and walks - the car didn't move all week! Hive heating so easy to use. Parking space outside the front door saved a fortune! Lovely little place!

The cottage could hardly be closer to the centre of the delightful town of Keswick. You can walk to the shops and pubs in literally a minute and the main supermarket is only a five minute walk away. Derwent Water is a ten minute walk. However despite its central location we had no real issue with noise. You can park directly outside the property buRead moret do be aware that the parking spaces in the street are for Blue Badge holders. There were only two of us staying but four people can stay. Hide

Excellent location. So handy for the shops and pubs yet still quiet enough at night to not have any disturbances. Our dog loved the cottage and settled in brilliantly. The cottage still felt clean and good quality despite pets being allowed- some places weve stayed before have felt a little neglected because of the allowing of dogs. very good location for the centre of Keswick. comfortable and clean. Only down side was the noise both from the front, deliveries to nearby pubs and shops and also the back has staff from the hotel taking breaks outside smoking and making a noise. Just be aware if you like peace and quiet!!

Perfect location, fabulous cottage. Loved it and would definitely would go back in a heartbeat. Just a couple of niggles. Inside kitchen bin lid wouldn't close, no spatula and Henry hoover was missing his extension tube making it very difficult to clean up.

The cottage is in a perfect location. With parking outside. Good size cottage with everything you need in it. Great wi-fi. Basic TV with basic channels. Which was fine. Can have a bit of traffic noise at the front. Mostly early morning. But wasn't really an issue. Lovely cottage in a brilliant location. Well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Dog friendly which is a bonus for us having 2 dogs. Surprisingly quiet given that it's located just off the market place. We loved the cottage so much we would definitely consider booking again next year.

Lovely cottage and loved all the Christmas decorations. It was really cosy even my dog was right at home and it's in the perfect location for the town centre. Would definitely come back and would recommend any family or friends to go to this cottage

I spent a lovely few days at Conifer Cottage with my daughter . Brilliant location for both the town /shops and the lake . The cottage was well planned out and lovely and clean. It was my third visit and l will definitely be returning sometime soon .

Excellent location. Even with our large car and workmen 2 doors down they were very helpful at moving vans to get ours out. Only twice on the week! Comfy and welcoming. Hope to return.
