Once used as a working mill, this spacious property has been converted into an impressive retreat for large groups and is an ideal choice for exploring the Wasdale Valley.

Stay at this gorgeous mill and enjoy a group getaway with your favourite furry friends joining in the fun. This rural retreat, which has a garden, is situated at Santon Bridge in the western Lake District and sleeps ten guests and a pair of canine companions. Stroll out through your beautiful Wasdale surroundings from the five-bedroom house. Discover serene Wastwater or take the pups to the coast, approximately 5 miles away.

Stroll into the stone property to discover a gorgeous interior with modern and traditional touches. Let your cheerful chums pad about the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with its bifold doors onto the garden, while you unpack the fresh Lakeland produce you have shopped for and decide what to make for dinner. Light the wood burner in here or in the alternative lounge so your furry friends can warm up after long walks. Watch the TV or listen to music via the iPod dock, while the younger members of your party head through to the snug, where there is another TV. You’ll find a utility room with a washing machine and a tumble dryer up a few steps. There is also a ground-floor WC. Climb one set of stairs to a super-king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room, as well as a double and a twin, plus the family bathroom. Other stairs from the ground floor take you up to another double and a twin room. Outside, let the pups play on the grass. You also have plenty of parking.

Drive or walk just over 2.5 miles to reach Wastwater. Set tails wagging with an 8-mile loop of the lake. Venture 5 miles to Ravenglass where your pups can leave paw prints in the sand at any time of year. Or, take them to see dog-friendly Muncaster Castle, 6 miles away.

Beautiful cottage in a lovely part of the country. We loved the week we spent there. Cottage not the cleanest and needs a bit of maintenance, but if you can put up with these small things its a very comfortable cottage. We stayed when the weather was not the best and to have a log burner in the evening was just great.

Loved the amount of space we had for eight adults and two children. Kitchen diner space was fantastic! Spent so many happy moments in that room all together. We loved our week at Mill cottage. We were a party of 9 and 2 dogs and there was plenty of space and equipment for everyone ( apart from forks and wineglasses ) issue with the hot water but it was resolved super quickly Despite recent reviews around the houses condition we arrived to a spotless house and clean/ comfy beds and sofas. The location isRead more amazing, but if bringing dogs just be mindful that the garden is open and there is access to the stream. We brought long leads and they were fine Hide

It was a wonderful cottage, very enjoyable for a large family holiday. Lots of space, kitchen had every type of utensil needed, and everywhere was clean and tidy on our arrival. The pub was just down the lane, food and staff very friendly and welcomes dogs.
