A lovely, comfortable base for up to three people in pretty Eskdale, perfectly located to explore Eskdale Valley and the many sights of the Lake District.
The peaceful village of Eskdale is an excellent vantage point for discovering the diverse landscape of the Lake District National Park, and how better to enjoy it than with your trusty hound by your side. This small yet cosy apartment offers a restful retreat for two along with two waggy-tailed pups, the perfect base for adventuring whether you are walking, cycling or trying something a little more daring such as rock climbing, ghyll scrambling and water sports.
Forming part of a large house that dates back to 1886, your apartment guarantees privacy and even has its own enclosed garden complete with lawn space and seating for sipping your first coffee of the day. Inside promises relaxation and comfort thanks to the open fire that crackles in the lounge, inviting your canine to flop down and snooze by the hearth. Mealtimes are a breeze in the kitchen with its oven, hob, microwave and fridge, and there’s a small table with four chairs for seating. At bedtime, retire for the night in the comfortable double bed after a soak in the bathroom.
Set tails wagging with walks from your doorstep, padding through the Japanese Garden and Giggle Alley or venturing deeper into the marvellous countryside. The towering heights of Scafell Pike are waiting to be conquered 9.5 miles away, but there’s lots to see when you scamper around the shores of Wastwater, the deepest of all the lakes 7 miles away. Ravenglass is 6.5 miles away towards the coast where you can board the Ravenglass and Eskdale Steam Railway. There is something quite romantic about the Solway Firth, so be sure to visit the dog-friendly shores of Ravenglass Beach to enjoy the views.
