A real home-from-home, his lovingly-converted barn has room for the whole family to relax and explore the Yorkshire Dales, perfect for fun and fresh air.
Nestled within the southern reaches of the Yorkshire Dales, this property is an excellent base for outdoor adventures. Sleeping eight guests across four bedrooms, this former barn has been thoughtfully equipped with all the home comforts you need including a Nespresso coffee machine for that all-important first caffeine fix of the day. There’s no need for Fido to miss out on the fun; two hounds will be welcomed with open arms, or should we say paws.
High ceilings, exposed stone and timber beams set the scene from the moment you step inside to discover the impressive open-plan living space. Flopping down for a snooze is a treat for the waggy-tailed members of your party thanks to the underfloor heating throughout the ground floor, so they’ll be happy to keep you company whilst you lounge on the sofas or play a few games in the snug with children’s pool table. Ascend the steps into the kitchen and prepare a feast, dining around the table with a bottle of wine or escaping outside to dine alfresco. Take care to supervise curious hounds as the garden space is enclosed, for small dogs, but not large jumping ones! however, they’ll probably not stray too far when they catch the scent of the BBQ.
The charming village of Rylstone may have found fame for being the inspiration behind the classic ‘Calendar Girls’ film, but it is well known amongst the canine population as being a brilliant base for walkies. Who could resist the miles of glorious Dales countryside when you have limbs to stretch and sticks to chase, especially when you factor in tasty Yorkshire fare from one of the many country pubs scattered throughout the rugged landscape. Skipton, 5 miles away, offers a plethora of independent shops and eateries to peruse, and there is also a medieval castle to explore.
