Beautifully presented, single-level coastal cottage blending tradition with a high standard of contemporary features within walking distance of the sea.

Prepare for sandy paws and sea-salt strewn coats, heading for the rugged Northumberland Coast to appreciate its windswept beauty, dramatic sunsets and impressive castles. Situated close to the gently bobbing boats of Seahouses harbour, this pretty cottage is perfect for four humans and two hounds seeking a quiet retreat beside the seaside.

Scamper up the ramp and into your accommodation to discover an open-plan living space with vaulted ceilings, wooden flooring and charming accessories that match the nautical heritage of the area. Rustle up something delicious in the kitchen area under the watchful eyes of your waggy-tailed pal, breaking open the wine and settling down at the table to dine. There are cosy sofas for afternoon snoozes, and two bedrooms provide a restful sanctuary at bedtime, one of which has the bonus of an en-suite. You won’t have to worry about making a mess after a muddy adventure, the handy utility room and bathroom are ideal for hosing down your patient pup. Outside, the shared courtyard has off-road parking for two cars.

Boasting marvellous views towards Bamburgh Castle and the Farne Islands, the ancient fishing village of Seahouses is a treat to explore. Pad down to the harbour and have a nose around the pier, rewarding your efforts with the fresh catch of the day at a pub or restaurant. Boat trips are great fun with Fido in tow, or why not scale the coastal path and venture 3.5 miles to Bamburgh to soak up the atmosphere of the majestic castle. Furry visitors on leads are welcome throughout the grounds, and the golden sandy beach is a sheer delight for canines and their two-legged friends alike.

A great location for being close to the town, beautiful walks (left or right on the coastal path) and was lovely taking the dog down to the harbour beach for their morning and night stroll. Be aware there isnt a garden, and you are quite close to 2 pubs which on a Fri & Sat are quite nosey. Neither bothered us, but could some people. Seahouses has Read moresome great places to eat and great Indian takeaways. Also a great location to Northumberland top attractions. Parking is tricky but doable. Hide

We had a super time at the cottage. The furnishings were lovely and of really good quality. A great location, and lovely cottage. The parking is problematic though. If you have a large car, I would probably look elsewhere: you could probably park OK, but them you might make it difficult for your neighbour to access and leave, requiring multiple forwards and reverses.
