Charming cottage set in a tranquil location with stunning countryside views, located in the north of Cumbria not far from the stunning coast.

Boasting a vast expanse of garden for stretching all four limbs and a choice of reception rooms for unwinding with your favourite tipple, the property sleeps six and is based just 3 miles from Wigton. Navigate the Solway Coast, sniff out the North Lakes and tantalise your taste buds in vibrant Carlisle, all easily reached within 15 miles.

Inside is a haven for relaxing with two lounges and a sunroom plus several cosy spots for Fido to flop down and snooze in comfort. Blending traditional wooden beams and exposed stone with contemporary style, the open-plan lounge/diner has laminate floors underfoot and there’s a handy utility room to tackle muddy paws. Sizzle up a storm in the farmhouse-style kitchen, heading back through to the dining room for a feast – just don’t forget to slip your four-pawed pal a few morsels. Sip coffee in the sunroom or head outside for an al fresco twist. The large garden is a delight to explore, but the games room is a welcome alternative on wet and wild days.

Wow, that sums up this charming cottage. Beautiful well presented clean & very comfortable home from home with all the mod cons. Set in beautiful gardens in a quiet village location but not far away from the main town of Wigton. The little touches from the owners on arrival were thoughtful & pleasantly recieved. What an amazingly peaceful location perfectly situated for the northern lakes and southern Scotland. The cottage has everything you could possibly want or need with lots of extra complimentary essentials. On our one wet day the Snooker table was a Godsend and having Netflix was another. Lovely cottage located in the Cumbrian countryside. Owners live next door on their farm so are nearby should you need anything. Lots of nearby walks for the doggie however was a little disappointed that he couldnt join us upstairs at bedtime.

This cottage is perfect for a family, loads of space and our teenage son loved that he had his own sitting area attached to the bedroom he stayed in. The cottage has all you need and more, it's in a perfect location for visiting various locations around the lakes, we had wonderful days out in Carlisle and Silloth and visited local attractions WalbyRead more Farm Park and a park where you can hire bikes. The cottage was clean and well equipped. The snooker table was a definite hit with the kids and the garden was lovely and spacious. The owners are helpful and friendly, on hand to answer any questions. The location is a little further out than we thought but it wasnt a problem and made it so peaceful and lots of paths to explore. We had a really relaxing week at Stoneleigh Cottage as a family of six. The cottage is very clean and spacious. The full size snooker table kept my husband and son entertained, while we all enjoyed playing board games up the table under the chandelier. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds very comfortable. The area is beautiful with the lake dRead moreistrict only a 30 min drive away. The cottage was lovely lots of room for a family of 6. The games room was great for something to do on an evening. The owners where great too, given us loads of local information on what to do out and about. We all had a great time.
