Settle your pal for the night then make you way to the super-king-sized bedroom or the twin room, with zip-and-link beds that can be arranged in advance as a super-king and comes with an en-suite shower room. Head 2 miles into the ancient town of Montgomery to shop for local delicacies, wander round the ruins of the 12th century and to follow the 2-mile heritage trail. For a longer, 5-mile stretch of the legs, pick up the Three Rolling Marches route. The 177-mile long Offa’s Dyke Path also runs close by. Follow a section or try a scenic circular route including part of it.
