Created with romance in mind, this beautiful former chapel is a hideaway for two that will capture your heart while you relax overlooking the fields and moors beyond.

Set in scenic Danby Dale, this Victorian Methodist Chapel built in 1853 has now been refurbished and is ideal for couples and two four-legged friends looking for a peaceful holiday. There are walks from your door, so let your hounds sniff out adventure across beautiful Danby Dale on the many footpath trails through Botton to Danby.

Step inside this attractive two-storey property and you will love the stylish and vibrant furnishing and decor. The design blends original features with a contemporary chic that is truly delightful. The entrance hall has a beautiful church pew, where you can slip on the complimentary slippers provided and head into the cosy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner full of colour; warm and welcoming. A wood burner sits beside the sofa, perfect for those colder months and a favourite spot for pups. The kitchen has all the appliances you need to rustle up romantic meals. A few steps take you up to the mezzanine, where you can sit back on the comfortable chaise lounge and read a book. Upstairs is a double bedroom finished with low-level windows so you can enjoy the view from your bed. Completing this lovely rural property is the downstairs shower room. Outside is a bench where you can enjoy a glass of fizz, a morning brew or stargazing.

The area is perfect for walkers and history buffs. Set tails wagging with a walk up to Captain Cook’s Monument (10 miles) or the Danby Beacon (6 miles). Saltburn Beach (13.5 miles), to the right of the pier, lets your pups go mutts running on the sand and splashing in the sea all year. Hikers should head to Mallyan Spout Waterfall (20 miles) in the North Yorkshire Moors or pick up a section of the coast-to-coast route at Blakey Ridge (4 miles) or Grosmont (13.5 miles).

Very well designed conversion of a small Victorian building, everything has been thought out well and made comfortable and tasteful. The chapel is very isolated at the bottom of a valley, so no phone but the Wifi is excellent. A beautiful rural area, excellent for walks and peaceful relaxation.

The Chapel is very clean, cosy and comfortable with a real log fire which quickly warms up the living area and bedroom. A lovely little place to spend a few days exploring the Moors and nearby beaches and quaint villages.

Cottage is beautifully renovated, but still retains its authentic character. Lovely tranquil home in an ideal location, for travelling in all directions, for the Moors and the Coast.

A quiet little gem, just as described on the webside. Perfect for walks with the dog, talking to sheep, not meeting many people, just relax and have some contemplation-time. The bed is of good quality and there is everything you need inside the house. It was my first time in the Yorshire Moors and won't be the last.

We had an amazing digital detox week with our rather anxious cockapoo in a delightful location where we immediately felt at home and where our dog was relaxed due to the calm surroundings. The chapel is small and perfectly formed and a great base from which to travel and explore North Yorkshire. We happened upon the 160th Danby Show during our stayRead more and had various trips to the coast and surrounding villages. Oh and the parking spot is idyllic by a babbling brook. Hide
