This spacious three-bedroom accommodation with warming wood burner and far reaching views across to Pen y Fan is just perfect for exploring the mountains, lakes, canals, places of historic interest and vibrant market towns.
Offering wonderful views across Pen Y Fan, this stylish holiday home on a working farm sleeps four people across three bedrooms and welcomes one four-legged friend. Sitting in the rugged countryside of the Brecon Beacons National Park, it’s the ideal accommodation option for small families or groups of friends who want to explore the area’s mountains and lakes with their pup by their side.
Enter this peaceful self-contained holiday home in a large country house on a working farm through your own private entrance. In the country-style kitchen, the chef in your party will find everything they need to cook up a storm, and you can all eat together around the large dining table. Alternatively, step outside and strike up the BBQ in the garden. There’s plenty of room around the garden table to enjoy al fresco dining. After dinner, sip a glass of something fizzy in the garden, or head through the patio doors into the living area to sink into the sofa and watch a movie while your pup stretches out in front of the wood burner. When the day is done, climb the stairs and you’ll find three beautifully styled bedrooms to choose from.
Take your pup on a strenuous four-mile circular hike to the summit of Pen y Fan, the highest peak in the south of Britain. Start the trail at Pont ar Daf (12 miles) and you’ll be treated to some spectacular views over the Neuadd Valley and the reservoirs above Merthyr Tydfil. At the top of Pen y Fan you’ll find a Bronze Age burial chamber and views over the town of Brecon, the Sugar Loaf and the Bristol Channel. Alternatively, take your pup on an underground adventure at the Dan yr Ogof Showcaves (14 miles), where you can see the famous ‘Rasher of Bacon’ and ‘Angel’ rock formations.
