Set on the very edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, an idyllic rural haven, the cottage enjoys an impressive position set amidst rolling countryside bursting with character.
With National Parks and AONBs to explore as well as the fantastic North Yorkshire Coast, enjoy time in the great outdoors from this bolthole which provides a fantastic base. Perfect for families with a pup, there is a handy utility room where muddy paws and soggy fur fresh from stick chasing can be tended to. The enclosed country-cottage garden is a wonderful place to bask after long days adventuring.
Head inside and find yourself in the heart of the home where the kitchen/diner is a lovely space in which to spend time. With all the appliances you need to cook up a storm and keep hungry tummies fed, enjoy making use of the wine cooler to chill your drink. Find a good spot for your pup’s treat jar- away from sniffing noses- and dine together at the table. Post dinner, spend time in the cosy lounge where your wag-tailed guest can sprawl out and lap up the heat from the wood burner. If the sun shines late into the evening, enjoy al fresco aperitifs in the pretty garden (taking care of the steps) whilst your four-pawed pal chases their tail safely in this enclosed space. Say good night and climb stairs to reach the inviting bedrooms where you can enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep. There is bike storage, and on-road parking.
Thornton Beck runs through the local village of Thornton-Le-Dale so you can take your pup out for a waterside walk each morning. For a seaside wander, make the 15-mile trip to the coast where Cayton Bay welcomes dogs all year round. 3 miles away, the vibrant market town of Pickering has all you need to stock your cupboards or enjoy meals out or you could ride the North Yorkshire Heritage Steam Railway to Whitby (20 miles) for a seaside dinner.
