Set in a stunning, peaceful, rural location, this charming cottage provides the perfect base for families and couples to explore the North Cornwall coast.
Sitting on a complex of traditional properties just outside the harbour town of Padstow, this charming cottage offers a peaceful getaway in the heart of the Cornish countryside. Sleeping four people over two bedrooms and welcoming two faithful friends, it’s the perfect rural retreat for small families or groups of friends who want to discover one of the UK’s prettiest regions with their pups by their side. Take your pups on beautiful beach adventures by day and watch them snooze in front of the cottage’s wood burner at night.
Start your day the right way with a coffee on the patio while your pups run free in a shared 3-acre field. After a glorious day exploring the many treasures of the Cornish countryside, come home to relax in the cottage’s wonderfully light and bright living room/kitchen/diner. Prepare a meal in the stylish kitchen and gather the gang around the dining table for a sociable dinner. Alternatively, head outside to dine alfresco. As the sun begins to set, pour a glass of wine and watch the sun paint colours across the Cornish sky, or head into the living area and light the wood burner so your dogs can stretch out and snooze. At the end of the day, there are two lovely bedrooms to choose from – one has a door that leads out to a private courtyard, while the other has patio doors that lead out to the patio garden.
Take your pups for a run at Booby’s Bay Beach (5.5 miles), a stretch of sand that’s dotted with little rock pools. It’s dog friendly all year round. Alternatively, take your pups on a walk through the outdoor gardens at the Eden Project (19.5 miles). Water bowls are provided, and your dogs can join you on the cafe’s terrace.
