This spectacular waterside lodge, in the beautiful Cotswold Water Park, sleeps six guests and one canine companion. The Park is a nature-lover’s paradise, with mile upon mile of footpaths winding along rivers, around lakes and through woodlands. There’ll be plenty of new sniffs to get tails wagging, too! Those looking for something high octane can take to the water on water skis, paddleboards or kayaks, to name just a few.
The stylish lodge makes the most of its setting, with large windows framing the gorgeous views over the lake. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is decorated in a contemporary style, with flashes of blue to further enhance the waterside setting. On a summer’s day, throw open the double doors to fully appreciate your surroundings and allow Fido to potter in and out to the open terrace (but be sure to keep your pup under close watch at all times). This outdoor area is just magical, with relaxing views over the water. Pour a glass of wine, fire up the BBQ and enjoy an evening of al fresco dining.
You’d be forgiven for not wanting to leave the Park. The stunning wetlands landscape is home to thousands of breeding and watering birds, making it a haven for wildlife watchers. You’ll also find picturesque and peaceful footpaths to explore with your canine buddy, with the added benefit of all being very flat! Within the Park there’s also a children’s play area, tennis courts and a whole host of water sports to try during your stay. If you do fancy a day out, the Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens (17 miles) makes a fantastic family excursion. Four-legged visitors are welcome on leads throughout most of the attraction, with just a few enclosures (sensibly) out of bounds.
