Period cottage providing a beautiful retreat for four guests, situated on the southern edge of the Lake District National Park, with easy access to many destinations.
This charming cottage, in the historic town of Old Hutton, is perfectly placed to explore many Lake District highlights. The lively market town of Kendal, with its rich culture, is just 2 miles away and you’ll also be just 20 miles from the majestic shores of Lake Windermere, where you and your furry friends can take a cruise on the water or board the heritage steam train.
The traditional Lakeland cottage has a warm and cosy vibe, with beautiful exposed beams and a roaring wood burner in the lounge/diner. After a long walk in the Lake District, snuggle up in front of the TV, whilst the hounds warm their paws on the hearth. Up two steps, you’ll find the kitchen, which has everything you need to rustle up a tasty meal, as well as ample room for the dog beds. Outside, there is a lawn to the front of the property where the woofers can stretch their legs, as well as a delightful seating area to the rear of the property.
It’s easy to spend the day sightseeing in Windermere. A ride on one of the iconic steamers is a must, giving you and the pups a whole new perspective of the magnificent scenery. Browse around the independent boutiques in Bowness-on-Windermere, before grabbing a bite to eat in one of the paw-friendly cafes. You’ll find something to please everyone, including your canine companions, at Grizedale Forest (26 miles). Take the hounds for a stroll along one of the eight waymarked walking routes, follow the sculpture trail or swing through the trees on the zip wires at Go Ape.
