Immerse yourself in beauty at this stylish Scandinavian-style lodge sitting on a peaceful complex of properties in the Dedham Vale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Up to four people and two four-pawed friends are welcome at this lovely retreat. It’s ideal holiday home for small families or groups of friends who want to get away from it all and take their dogs on some picturesque strolls through the landscape that inspired one of the country’s greatest artists, John Constable.

Enter this elegant lodge and you’ll be immediately struck by the beautifully-styled open-plan living room/kitchen/diner, which boasts views out to the Dedham Vale from the bi-fold doors spanning the front of the property. This space has everything you need to entertain your friends and family with comfort and style. Step into the sleek kitchen area and cook a feast for your loved ones. Eat together around the dining table or make your way outside and dine alfresco on the terrace. After dinner, treat yourself to a dip in the hot tub or retire to the living area and watch a film while your pups curl up in front of the wood burner. When the day is done, there are two beautiful bedrooms to choose from.

Take your dogs on a ramble to remember along the Flatford and Constable Country Trail. This gorgeous walk, which was featured on ITV’s Top 100 Walks in Britain starts off in Manningtree (3.5 miles) and takes you through the Stour Valley and Dedham Vale – the heart of Constable Country. Depending on the route you take, the trail is 4 to 7 miles long. Alternatively, head to the Stour Valley Adventure Centre (18 miles), rent a dog-friendly canoe and take your pups for a paddle down the river.

• An early arrival or later checkout can be arranged subject to availability by prior agreement at an additional charge payable, this must be arranged directly with the owner prior to arrival.

• 2 dogs allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week
• There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £200 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £25. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.
