This wonderfully presented lodge is the ideal base for a small family or a couple to explore the beautiful Constable Country and is within 18 miles of the coast.
Sitting in a peaceful complex of properties in the scenic village of East Bergholt, this stylish Scandinavian-style lodge sleeps four people across two bedrooms and welcomes two faithful friends. It’s the ideal accommodation option for small families or groups of friends who want to take their canine companions on long country walks through Constable Country by day, and spend their evenings relaxing in comfort and style in a truly sophisticated holiday home.
Start your day the right way with a freshly-brewed coffee on the terrace. After a marvellous day exploring the Suffolk countryside with your pups, head to the lodge’s living room/kitchen/diner to cook a feast for your loved ones. This gorgeous open-plan space promotes indoor/outdoor living, so open up the bi-fold doors that span the front of the lodge and enjoy your dinner around the dining table as the evening air breezes through the building. Alternatively, head out to the terrace and dine alfresco while you enjoy the amazing views of Dedham Vale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. After dinner, pour yourself a glass of wine and sink into the hot tub, or head indoors and watch a film while your pups snooze in front of the wood burner. At the end of a perfect day, there are two chic bedrooms to choose from.
Take your pups on a guided tour at Dedham Vale Vineyards (10.5 miles). If the weather is good, they can join you for lunch at the outdoor seating area there. You can also take your pups with you to Lexden Earthworks and Bluebottle Grove (16.5 miles). History buffs and dogs alike will love exploring the banks and ditches of this series of late Iron Age defences protecting the western side of the city of Camulodunum - pre-Roman Colchester (11 miles).
